The Venerable Al Fasoldt

Tuesday, April 28: 6:00-6:30 Q&A / 6:30-8:00 p.m. Presentation

We are pleased to once again welcome technophile Al Fasoldt as the guest speaker at our April meeting. Al has been at the leading edge of the local technology scene for over 30 years. In the 90’s he was host of Time Warner Cable’s weekly television show “Point ‘n’ Click.” Al is known far and wide for the witty reviews and commentaries he wrote his weekly Technofile┬ácolumn, which was published in the Syracuse Post Standard from 1983 until recently.

If you’ve never heard Al speak before then you’re in for a treat. His talks are entertaining and educational as he delivers his observations about changes taking place in the computing industry. You’ll laugh, you’ll learn, you’ll be back for more!

Here are some of the topics we will hear about at this month’s meeting:

  1. Apple’s quality control problems
  2. Is Microsoft catching up (and will it stumble again)?
  3. 5 things nobody knows about the iPad
  4. Is Google overtaking Apple with its Android OS?
  5. Free-for-all Q&A (as always)

You can read more about Al on his website at, including all of his weekly articles back to 2006.

We look forward to seeing you there!
